The Anti New Year’s Resolution

Let’s face it, New Year’s Resolutions have never really done what they were supposed to. In fact, the concept of the failed New Year’s Resolution has actually become the butt of many jokes each year. Why are we stressing ourselves out over a resolution made when the ball drops, if we could be treating ourselves instead? This year, Boss’ Pizza & Chicken says, “Away with the stuffy promises to hit the gym, and in with the anti-New Year’s Resolution!”

How to Treat Yourself

The first thing you need to do is get it through your head that this year is going to be all about self-appreciation. This year is all about you, baby! This mental cleansing is the most important part of how to pamper yourself because it rids you of all the guilt that New Year’s Resolutions leave behind.

Self-Care Day

Next, give yourself allowances for self-care. That’s right, sometimes you just need a day free of stress and free to do whatever feels good at the moment. Go shopping, head down to the fishing docks, or order a giant pizza from Boss’ and eat as many slices as you want, without counting the calories! In fact, end your self-care day with a guilty pleasure movie on the couch, and you’ve nailed it.

Celebrate You

Now it’s time to head online and search for great ideas for how to treat yourself every day! For instance, buy something silly that you don’t absolutely need. Then display it proudly in your house, send all your friends pictures of it and enjoy it. Even if it’s just a houseplant, it’s yours, and you love it.

Turn Off the Phone

Instead of checking social media and answering every phone call, treat yourself to some time alone in peace and quiet. Read a book. Go for a walk. Head to a local art exhibit. Whatever it is that will help you take a break from all that other stuff.

These are just a few ideas for how to pamper yourself. Nobody has the same idea of what a self-care day looks like, but what’s important is that you feel comfortable in your skin. Don’t just leave your New Year’s Resolution in the dust, throw a party for your new found freedom! And don’t forget that Boss’ Pizza & Chicken is here for you when you need to indulge in a little bit of cheesy goodness.
